My Little Portal: Enrichment is Magic Photoset #2: Technology Pt. 1 (Wheatley)
So the Online Enrichment Center is open to everyone. Of course this means just about any character, too. So of course we get a dozen Wheatleys. Okay, maybe not a dozen, but we certainly have a number of clones of the Intelligence Dampening Sphere.
As a disclaimer, a couple of these are based on the designs of a couple magnificent artists on Tumblr. Every shred of credit goes to the artist/storytellers. All I did was ponify the characters within the group; I didn’t actually choose the character design. I’m going to try to identify which pony is based on whose design, but if I miss anyone, please feel free to let me know.
ApSciWheats - Our first Wheatley. Wheatley Prime, if you will. The lovable, non-megalomaniacal former core who somehow managed to tame the Terrible Trix. He’s also pegasus pony…who’s afraid of heights.
EvilWheats - Yes, this one’s based on Geggidy’s design, so I guess I mostly just ponified her Evil Wheats (surprise gift to you, Geggidy!). One of the Wheatley clones had managed to get himself plugged into the mainframe, and stayed there. For a time the Boss has let him have his fun, running a portion of the facility. But lately his interests have been clashing with Hers. He’s a pegasus rather than an alicorn because despite his power, he’s still just a core plugged into the mainframe.
Insane Wheatley - Yeah, I posted this one before. He’s the OEC’s adaptation of did-you-reboot’s Insane Wheatley. He’s just as stabby, and just as nutters. Just like Trix, I gave him a horn for stabbings instead of a knife. Otherwise he’s an earth pony.
ItsWheats - Another Wheatley clone! This one has no specific design that I’m aware, just another adorable core-to-android. He’s had…adventures. He’s a very tall earth pony, because the other two didn’t suit him.
Whitney - A Wheatley core copy who’d managed to get transferred into a very lifelike female android body. Now dubbed Whitney, she’s just as dorky as her male counterpart. Like Itsy, she’s an earth pony because the other two didn’t suit her. As a disclaimer, no, there’s no actual relation to the lovely Yunyin’s Whitney beyond the concept and name.
